English Language & American Culture Classes

English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at Westminster Presbyterian Church are designed to help those with limited English skills gain proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Courses focus on the fundamental concepts of the English language and life skills of American culture. The level of student instruction is determined by their assessment scores taken during registration.

ESL Classes: Mondays, 6:00-8:00pm

Join us for a free dinner from 6:00-6:30pm with English conversation around the dinner table followed by classes from 6:45-8:00pm.

Classes are free but there is a $20 book fee for first time students.  Free Childcare is provided.

Other Opportunities for Study & Fellowship

Sunday Morning International Class

  • Sundays, 10 – 10:45am
  • Opportunity to practice English using the Bible.

Optional Monday Evening Class

Christianity Explored is an informal course for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity. The class examines the book of Mark in the Bible to explore the identity, mission and call of Jesus. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs. All are welcome.

Optional Monday Evening Class

Gospel of John. In this course, we will explore the Gospel of John with a primary focus on addressing the question: “Who is Jesus?” Through the examination of well-known biblical passages, the sessions will deal with Jesus as: the Son of God, the Christ, our King, our Living Lord, the Way to God, the Source of Living Water, the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life, the Giver of the Holy Spirit, the Vine and our Intercessor. While the course is designed for Christians, all are welcome.
