Atlanta Care Center

lo-atlanta-care-centerAtlanta Care Center, established in 1982, serves as an evangelical outreach to women who are experiencing either an unexpected or unwanted pregnancy with the hope of the gospel. With the new “heartbeat” law in effect in Georgia,  ACC has an urgent window of time to save the unborn. This ministry provides a confidential, non-judgmental environment for prospective mothers to receive help with their personal, practical, and spiritual needs. They also provide counseling, pregnancy testing, nurse consultations, health education programming, and ultrasounds that promote life-affirming decisions. Atlanta Care Center is a AAAHC accredited clinic that serves more than 100 zip codes. Approximately 85% of their clients choose life for the unborn child after visiting the ministry.

Summerhill

lo-summerhillSummerhilll Community Ministries, Inc. is a community based, indigenously led organization which exists to reach Atlanta’s inner-city youth for Christ. The ministry seeks to accomplish this by providing opportunities for personal, spiritual, family, and community improvement. They encourage, empower, and equip youth and families to grow in their relationship with Christ, and to influence others. Some specific programs offered include after-school homework help, sports teams, summer camp, and youth leadership training. Please pray for this worthy ministry that has remained faithful downtown for so many years, transforming darkness into the light and joy of Jesus!

Damaris Hope

Damaris Hope LogoMotivated by the love of Christ, Damaris Hope provides a community of support that equips and empowers women in the sex industry and survivors of trafficking toward healthy and flourishing lives. This ministry visits women working in clubs, giving each woman a special gift and letting them know they are “Deeply Loved, Forever Valued, Uniquely Purposed.” Damaris Hope invites women to connect with the ministry outside of work through support groups, Bible study, and mentoring relationships.

Metanoia Prison Ministries

Metanoia Prison Ministries exists to proclaim Christ in prisons. Metanoia disciples prisoners, in part by teaching non-degree correspondence courses, using Reformed curricula, to prisoners. These courses are designed to teach students the basics of the Christian walk and help them reach a more advanced level of biblical understanding. Metanoia also prepares local churches for the work of ministering to prisoners and their families. WPC partners with Jeremy Prather, a teaching elder in the Metro Atlanta Presbytery, who administers Metanoia’s ministry in the Central Georgia prisons.
